Amazing chunk of Coober Pedy seam opal with all the colors of the rainbow. will cut a number of large stones. ask for more pics. Coober Pedy is still the largest opal field in the world and people thought a few years ago that the opal would just keep being produced, but in recent years, the fields have all but run out and white opal along with all other types of opal are becoming rarer and rarer. It would be nice to have a chunk of this opal in your collection before it runs out. [we are hoping it doesn’t, but it’s not looking good at present] This piece would sell retail for around $5000 when complete. It is exceptionally large.
