Fascinating boulder opal picture stones from the Winton field in western Queensland. These stones have an endless array of patterns, colors and shapes and suit the opal cutter with imagination and inspiration. All opals are unique of course , but Each of these stones are more recognizably unique in that each one has a distinct pattern or picture. Some pictures, are not recognizable. We have chosen to call them opal Abstract stones, like a modern oil painting. In fact, if you are an artist, you can use the stone as an inspiration for your own oil painting creation.
