This outstanding piece of dark opal from Lightning Ridge is very impressive. Its rare to get such a large stone with green orange yellow accompanied by striking purple red. The stone has an interesting swirl of orange going through the green, and the change of color is captured well in the photograph, but looks even better of course, in real life.
