7doublet opals from Coober Pedy with ironstone boulder backing. These stones have natural solid opal on the fronts and natural ironstone from the boulder opal fields on the back, giving them a dark appearance that looks the same as black opal. This is a good way of getting a really top grade looking stone at an affordable price. These stones of course need to be set and this can be costly. Opalmine has a setting service which allows for hand made sterling silver pendants to be produced for around $35 each including snake chains but you have to allow a month or two to get the job done. If you want, you can buy just one or two of these stones for $50 or the lot for $280
