Thanks, pal! I have been having a ball with the opals. You're really very thoughtful and generous. I received the parcel on April 9th. I apologize for waiting so long to write this letter of thanks to you. It's just that I have been working on those damn opals and trying to figure out how to shine 'em up and all of that. I can tell you this much about opals; it's real easy to keep turning the stone over and around and from one side and then to the other side in the attempt to discover exactly where the best shine and glimmer is to be found. That type of thing seems to just go on and on for hours. It's good fun, though.
