Top quality matched set jelly crystal opal from the Lightning Ridge field. This photo shows the stones colour when presented on a black backing but is a lighter, clearer colour otherwise. Would make a nice pair of earings or cuff links. Stones like this are becoming rarer as the opal fields are running out. The price of Opal, unlike many gemstones is influenced by supply and demand, not by international cartels who agree on price increases.
