Boulder opal from Winton Queensland. Stones like this are totally unique with very original patterns and shapes. They are really a designers dream because they inspire pictures and shapes that other stones do not. This stone we call abstract as the picture in it is not specific. Its left to your imagination. The price of opal, unlike many gemstones, is influenced by supply and demand, not by international cartels who agree on price increases. Hence, opal is destined to go up in value as the supply becomes more restricted which is happening at present.
