Very strong green Boulder opal from Winton Queensland. Stones like this are totally unique with very original patterns and shapes. They are really a designers dream because they inspire pictures and shapes that other stones do not. This stone has a centre dot of ironstone which can be drilled out to accommodate a small diamond to add to its uniqueness. The price of Opal, unlike many gemstones is influenced by supply and demand, not by international cartels who agree on price increases. Hence, opal is destined to go up in value as the supply becomes more restricted which is happening at present.
